Wanted: Bad Writers

No, this isn’t a request for Mensokie submissions. :-) It’s time for the annual Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest, named for the nineteenth century author who coined the phrase, “It was a dark and stormy night.” Sponsored by San Jose State University, this competition “challenges entrants to compose the opening sentence to the worst of all possible novels.” Check out some of the past winners — I think some of them should get book deals. :-) The entry deadline is April 15, so now’s the time to be practicing. Give us your best attempt at bad writing in the comments…
