Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Did everyone have a fun day of pretending to be Irish with the usual non-Irish things, like green beer? :-) Yesterday, your webmaster & newsletter editor hosted a Pre-Patty’s Party. Read on for the details… And, for those who were there, feel free to point out my lies… :-)

We had a lot of fun, and it seemed like everyone else did, too. We learned something — the directions we give to our house need some work. :-) Perhaps we would have had a bigger crowd, if not for that…

Joe Gentile was there, and would have gotten whooped at Trivial Pursuit, if I hadn’t had so many hosting duties to attend to. ;-) Jon & T.J. Lundeen also came by — proudly telling about the newest member of their family, Seamus. They brought with them newly reinstated member, Max Hedges. Nancy Park was there with Josephus, who discovered a Japanese obsession we didn’t know we had.

There were also some new faces at this party. John Gwinn brought his family all the way from Lawton. It was nice having kids at a Mensa event — hopefully that is a trend that will continue. Recently reinstated Marcie Everhart brought something that made her an instant hit with the hosts — margarita mix. :-)

In short, a good time was had by all. This is something we will definitely do again. Hopefully, more people will be able to find their way out here…
