Sweetening The Pot

Dan Wilterding, our Region 6 Vice Chair, sent out an e-mail recently that I thought you all might be interested in. He had some money left over in his discretionary fund, so he’s distributing it to all the Region 6 groups. Big thanks to Dan for his generosity. Read more for the all the details in Dan’s own words…

Hello Treasurers, Editors, and LocSecs!

The end of the Mensa fiscal year found us with money remaining in the RVC discretionary fund. That being the case I felt it more appropriate to disburse the remainder among the groups than to put it back into the collective pot.

Sometime on the afternoon of Friday, April 5th you should see a deposit to the tune of $92.17 made to your group account. Next year the leftovers may not be quite this much for at least two reasons —

1) The amount of the discretionary funds is being lowered; and
2) I may not lose quite so many receipts for my expenses.

This is but a drop in the bucket for most groups, but it is a start. Perhaps some of you more budget minded people will help me find specific ways to return more dues money to the local groups next year; all help is appreciated. Copies of the budget for this year will are available upon request should you wish a good place to start.
