The Battle of Man vs. Machine Continues

On Oct. 4, current world chess champion Vladimir Kramnik began an eight game contest against Deep Fritz, one of the top chess-playing computers in the world. The score now stands at 3-2 in favor of Kramnik. Time has a report on the latest match, and details of earlier matches.


Update [10/19/02]: The final match on Saturday, October 19th, ended in a stalemate leaving the match tied at 4 to 4.
