Christmas Party Pics... and More!

Central Oklahoma Mensa held its annual Christmas party Saturday night, and we’ve got the pictures to prove it (thanks, John H.)! Click ‘Read More’ below for more details on the party.

The evening started with — what else — food! Louanne Duckworth brought the turkey (and no, we don’t mean Bruce), and everyone else brought a side dish. In fact, Becky O’Neal was awarded a gift for her delicious potatoes with cheese and green onions. Yum! After dinner, we started the ‘Dirty Santa’ gift exchange. Several traditional COM gifts showed up — a whip, a swimsuit-clad frog, and several owls. After a good bit of trading — and a few arm-wrestling matches — everyone seemed pleased with the outcome. We finished the evening by announcing awards. Best hugging awards (male and female) were given to Jon Lundeen and Elizabeth Townley. Charles Jones was announced as the winner of the Mensokie contest. And Donna Davis won the free year’s membership award. Speaking of that membership award, did you know you get an entry in the drawing for each speaker meeting (i.e., main monthly meeting) you attend?
