The meeting was called to order at 7:36 p.m. on January 10. In attendance were Tracye Dominici, TJ Lundeen, Jon Lundeen, Charles Jones, Max Hedges, John Haubrich, Angela Mabray, and Billy Mabray.
TJ brought up the need for volunteers to help Rose Lambert judge scholarship essays. Problems with the late time and date were discussed.
Next, Jon brought up the Mensokie editorship. Angela said the February issue would be her last. Nancy Park had expressed interest in being editor. A motion was made by John and seconded by Billy that Nancy be appointed editor if she accepts it. Motion carried unanimously.
The discussion then moved to future events. Possible events that were mentioned include: panel on terrorism, presentation by an attorney, dinner and a movie, game night, presentation by a bioethicist, and kite flying.
TJ reminded everyone about national Mensa voting in March. The Region Six chapter that has the highest percentage of members vote will receive $100 for their scholarship fund from Region Vice-Chair Dan Wilterding.
Jon said we need to find out from our Treasurer, Patty Kohn, how much money we have to give for scholarships.
Charles brought up the possibility of local chapter dues. Jon said we would have trouble keeping members in the chapter if we insisted they pay more.
Motion was made by Billy and seconded by Jon that we close the meeting. The meeting ended at 8:46 p.m.
