Look! Up in the Sky!

Nancy Park sent the following info to the com_calendar email list. Gather up some of your favorite Mensans (and plenty of bug spray, Nancy advises) this Saturday and do some star-gazing with the Oklahoma City Astronomy club. Click ‘Read More’ for all the details.

Saturday, May 10th, the Oklahoma City Astronomy club is having a public star party at Lake Hefner starting at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday (new moon: good star visibility) and will set up telescopes to show celestial sights to all visitors. Bring your binoculars, too; you’d be surprised how much is visible with them. It will be on the north end of Hefner Park on the east side of Lake Hefner.


Directions: Take the Hefner Road exit from Hefner Parkway, turn west and then turn south into the park’s parking lot. It’s a free event and will last until 11 p.m.
