Volunteers Needed for Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic
Posted in Intelligence on July 22, 2003
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, the largest producer of recorded
educational books for blind, visually impaired and learning disabled
individuals, is in need of volunteers to produce textbooks for RFB&D’s
master library. Click ‘Read More’ for all the details…
RFB&D’s collection of educational titles is the largest and most
unique resource of its kind in the world. For over 50 years, people
with print disabilities have used this extraordinary service to help
fulfill their educational, professional and personal goals.
Currently, RFB&D is facing a shortage of specialized readers
proficient in mathematics, science, finance, accounting, computer
science and other technical areas. We are in need of volunteers with
backgrounds in these fields to help RFB&D record books to meet the
ever-increasing demand from students and professionals for materials
in these subject areas.
RFB&D is a national nonprofit organization with headquarters in
Princeton, NJ and 30 recording locations nationwide (Oklahoma’s closest recording studio is in Austin, Texas). For more
information about volunteer opportunities with RFB&D please call
800-803-7201. Thanks to Tom Karnes, AML Reader Service, for pointing out this opportunity.
