National Award for High School Seniors

The deadline is February 13, 2004, for the Nicholas Green High School Senior Award Program [Update 10/16/05: Broken link removed], a new national award program for students in their final year of high school. Click ‘Read More’ below for all the details.

The award will be made by the Nicholas Green Scholarship Fund in May 2004. The national winner will receive a check for $1,500 and an invitation to the awards ceremony in Washington, DC. Expenses for the winner and one parent will be paid. Two runners up will receive $1,000 each. The new award honors students in their final year of high school who demonstrate excellence and distinguish themselves in academics, arts, leadership, or community service. Nominees will provide a personal statement, two letters of support, and other evidence of achievements such as video or audiotapes of artistic performances. Applications must be postmarked by February 13, 2004.
