Local author William Bernhardt is Central Oklahoma Mensa’s featured speaker at tomorrow night’s speaker meeting. Author of such best-sellers as Perfect Justice, Dark Justice, Death Row, and, most recently Hate Crimes, Bernhardt is best known for his mystery series featuring lawyer Ben Kincaid. We’ll also be collecting donations of children’s books for Norman’s early reading enrichment program.

Bill Bernhardt gave a great presentation. A friendly and accessible speaker, he told us how he learned to love books as a child, how he got started writing mysteries, and how he finally got published. Not only that, but he also proved he could recite Hamlet's entire soliloquy in less than a minute... quite a feat! He generously shared his time with us, answering many questions from the group about writing and getting published.
