Summer Vacations, Mensa-Style

If you’re still looking for a destination for your summer vacation, here are a few Mensa events you might want to consider:

• American Mensa’s 2005 Annual Gathering (AG) will be held July 6-10 in New Orleans. If you’ve never been to an AG, you’ll be impressed with how many great speakers and activities they offer. Registration is $80 until July 1st, then $90.
• The Alabama RG will be held August 12-14, 2005, in Huntsville, Alabama. Everyone’s annual favorite, the Chocolate Orgy, will be back this year — plus hospitality will be featuring a chocolate fountain. Of course there’ll also be games, speakers, a pool party, and a dance. Registration is $50 until July 1st, $55 until August 1st, and $60 after that.
• The 2005 Rivers 3 RG will be held September 2-5, 2005, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Not only are they offering their usual great hospitality, games, and programs — but this year they’ll be in a posh new hotel, the newly renovated Radisson. Registration is $75 until July 4th, and $85 after that. Western Pennsylvania is part of American Mensa’s Region 3, which has compiled a list of all of this year’s events in their region.
