MindGames, RGs and Other Excuses to Travel

If the spring weather tempts you to come out of hibernation and do a little travelling, here are a few upcoming Mensa events you’ll want to consider:

• Mind Games 2006 will be held April 21-23, 2006, in Portland, Oregon. Mind Games is an annual marathon of gaming. Participants play, judge, and critique new games, deciding which five games should receive the “Mensa Select” seal. Space is limited. Register online for $70 through April 7th.
• Portland also plays host to the following weekend’s BeaveRG. Visit this Regional Gathering April 28-30th to hear from experts on such varied topics as volcanoes, tattoo aesthetics, meditation, medical practice in post-earthquake Pakistan, and DIY paper engineering. Register for $90 through April 20.
• Want to travel a little further? Try Mensa Switzerland’s Annual Gathering in Bern on May 13, 2006. All tours are in English.
