We hope you'll use this map to find the route to even more fun in Central Oklahoma Mensa. There will be plenty of eating, drinking, and talking, with a sumptuous array of food. You are bringing a special treat to share, right? COM is providing the champagne, coffee, and even a breakfast casserole or two. We're eager to see what you will be adding to the table. And while we're sharing a roll or two, there's a role for you to play in the chapter.=0D=0A=0D=0AWe've been very grateful to see more people attending more events and even a few members stepping up to fill some of the needs of the chapter. We want to offer our sincere appreciation to them at this brunch.=0D=0A=0D=0AAnd, we need yet more people to volunteer for many positions in COM. Filling those positions makes light work and more fun for everybody. Enjoying the events? Then step up, please, and let someone on ExCom know that you would like to take a small (or large) part in our group -- host an event, write an article, send an idea for a speaker, run for a seat on the ExCom, etc. So, this brunch is a map for the current ExCom, too. Help us find you.=0D=0A=0D=0AOr just come share yourselves this spring morning. We're bubbling over with enthusiasm at the energetic growth of this chapter, and we're celebrating with bubbly stuff. Come raise a glass, and toast to the health of the chapter and to fun and to making growth pleasurable. It's The Festival of the Arts! While pets are not allowed, all two-legged smarties are. And being Mensans, we know where to gather: by the FOOD. We'll meet at the Mensa flag at the food court, which you can find easily by asking for International Food Row. Louanne will be there with a huge yellow flag bearing the Mensa “M” symbol. At that point, the group will determine another place to meet later to discuss everything they've seen and done. And there is lots to do and see. In the Myriad Gardens, find Windscapes, a kinetic art exhibit; stroll on Hudson Avenue through the booths of 144 Plaza Artists from across the nation; ogle the furniture showcase in Stage Center; enjoy four stages of non-stop performances, entertainment from dancing to singalongs to things you have not imagined. Treats for the tummy and the eye and the ear and the soul. All shared with fellow Mensans. With nothing at stake except laughter once the answers are sealed, we get the fun of seeing how well we might have done individually had we been on a team. It's an entertaining afternoon, although you might learn how to say, “I shudda known that,” in five different languages after hearing tired team members say it over and over again as they uncover what they should have answered.=0D=0A=0D=0AThis is also a terrific, non-intimidating way to get acquainted with CQ so you can decide if you want to be on a team next year.
