E-Mail Lists
We have created some e-mail discussion lists to keep people up-to-date on what is going on in COM. Here’s how it works: Subscribe to the list and you will receive all e-mails that are sent to the list. And you can send messages to everyone else on the list, too. Right now, we have three lists: com_announce, com_calendar, and com_talk.
com_announce is for updates on COM news and events. This list is intended to be less chatty than the other lists, and is used primarily for making last minute changes to scheduled events, announcing when the Mensokie is available online, and making other similar announcements.
Subscribers to com_calendar receive reminders of upcoming events. The reminder is usually sent about 24 hours before the event. This list can also be for general discussion about events: what you’re planning to attend, what goodies you’re planning to bring, events you liked, events you hated, events you’d like to see in the future, etc.
com_talk is for absolutely anything. Discussions, updates, chit-chat, anything.
There is only one real rule on these lists: no spamming. And a suggestion: There could be young people on these lists, so please act appropriately.
